Karaoke

I went to Karaoke box with Yuka after school. It was my first time we went to Karaoke together. Yuka wanted to go to Karaoke very much. We sang several songs there. And Yuka danced to some songs. We watched a promotion video which our favorite singer appeared. It was very cute. Our eyes were fixed on it. We left there at five and went to the drugstore to buy something to eat. I bought ‘Ichigo Special’. Yuka had to return to the university, because she had the lecture at six. I parted from her in front of the drugstore. We had a good time!

I saw the movie ‘Sin City’ today.
It was a dangerous and exciting movie. It was restricted 15 years old. In fact, there were some grotesque scenes. I was surprised at it. I didn’t know it…

The stories separated into three. The episodes were exciting but fearful. I was scared very much, because a murderous fiend who eats flesh of human appeared. But the main characters were hard-boiled. They were very cool. If you are all right to see shocking scene, you can see this movie.

I am interested in this movie, because Bruce Willis appeared on this movie. I am a lover of him. Also my father is the fan too. We often see movies which Bruce Willis appeared together.

I read Rapunzel. Rapunzel was the name of the main character. She was a girl which was locked up at the very top of the tower by the witch. She could not go out of the tower, because there were not stairs, door… When the witch came the tower, Rapunzel heaved her hair out of the window. Her hair was very very long. The witch climbed up Rapunzel’s hair and enter into the tower. Rapunzel was always bored, because he never saw anyone expect the witch. One day Prince Hans came there. He tried to let her go outside. But the witch hindered it. And with a powerful spell, she cast Rapunzel into the desert. The prince Hans became blind because of her magic. I thought that the witch was really ruthless!! That is too much. But Rapunzel and Prince Hans met each other again. It seemed miracle.
By the way, do you know Rapunzel? It was vegetable. So it is same as her name! I don’t know the vegetable… I looked up it.

rainy day

Today it rained heavily. A warning of possible heavy rains was announced. I was in my home all day. I did my assignments in the morning. When I finished them, I used my computer. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

I watch the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” last week. It is a popular movie. I think that many people like this movie. I like it too. The pirates used diplomat. It was interesting. Many characters appeared on this movie. My favorite character is Elizabeth Swann, Will Turner, Jr. and Captain Teague Sparrow. Elizabeth Swann was a brave woman. She fought with enemies bravely. And she was very beautiful!! Will Turner, Jr. is a Elizabeth’s boyfriend. He made every effort to help his father. He loved his father very much. Elizabeth and Will overcame some difficulty together. I think that it is wonderful. Captain Teague was a Jack Sparrow’s father and keeper of the law. He appeared this movie a little. But I am interested in, he is a man with a powerful personality. Beside, the people who are attractive appear on this movie.
I am looking forward to watch the sequel!

There are three chapters. Chapter 1 is the story that Sir Gawain. He is a knight. He left for green castle to fight with green giant. It was very difficult to find the way to green castle. For a long time, he could find the castle. Finally he fought with green giant, but the green giant was his acquaintance who helped him. Green giant turned into Sir Bertilak. Sir Bartilak tested Sir Gawain. I don’t know why Sir Bartilak tested Sir Gawain…
Chapter 2’s main character is Sir Gawain’s brother, Gareth. He worked as a kitchen boy. His work was very hard. One day he went to Red knight’s castle, because Lady Lyonesse was locked there. He fought with Red knight and won. And he helped Lady Lyonesse. He asked her to marry him. I like this story. This story is similar to Cinderella. Gareth was kitchen boy, but he succeeded. Finally he got beautiful life partner. It is a story with a happy end!!

I want to ask questions to you. Do you like a watermelon? Have you already eaten a watermelon this year? It is summer soon. People will eat watermelon in this summer. I have eaten it yet. It was good. I tell you about some sites of watermelon. I found them to search for watermelon, how to grow, and recipe. I chose them, because it is easy to know watermelon.

First, I write about the site of National Watermelon Promotion Board. This site is easy to see. It is colorful site. The site reports the recipes of watermelons every month. There are many kinds of recipes. I guess that you will know the recipe for the first time. There are some recipes which I don’t know. The recipes of watermelon are not dessert. For example, it is Grilled Spicy Watermelon. This was seasoned with Thai-inspired sauce. The other recipes exist at this site. But I want to eat watermelon as dessert. It is delicious to eat watermelon just as it is.

Second, I write about the site of Watch Your Garden Grow. This site tells us how to grow some vegetable and fruits. It contains how to grow watermelon. Have you grown vegetables or fruits? This site is useful to grow them. It tells us recommend varieties of watermelon, when to plant, spacing and depth, care, harvesting, common problems and others. Watermelon grows best on a sandy loam soil, it requires considerable space. Plant seed one inch deep in hills spaced 6 feet apart. And its watering is seldom necessary unless the weather turns dry for a long time. Determining when watermelon is ripe is difficult for almost people. When watermelon was harvested is when light green curly tendrils of watermelon turn brown and dry, the surface color turn dull, the skin becomes resistant to penetration by thumbnail. Common problem of watermelon is cucumber beetles. They attack watermelon plants. Also it has history of watermelon. Watermelon seeds were brought from Africa. Today there are more than 100 different varieties of watermelons. The flesh may be red, pink, orange or yellow. I like the watermelon which flesh is red. Watermelon is a warm season vegetable. It can be grown in all part of the world. It is easy to grow for a beginner.

It needs to observe nature system well, to learn wisdom of traditional life and agriculture, to join modern technology. Tropical Permaculture is interesting idea.

I am busy to do some assignments now… I have to finish my assignments. But I want to take a rest in weekend. Yesterday I watched movie “Ghost rider” while writing reports. The movie was broadcasted by Asahi TV.

The main character is Johnny. He transform Ghost rider with the devil, Mephistopheles and fight Blackheart and his followers. Blackheart is the roll of villain. He wants to control the world with his power. This movie was interesting. But I felt something was missing… The fights were easy, because the enemies were weak…? Design of ghost rider’s bike was cool. It dressed fire.

After the movie ended, I took a bath and did my assignments. I worked harder, but could not finish it.

I read The Twelve Dancing Princesses. It was written by the brother’s Grimm.
There were twelve beautiful princesses. Their father, the king, was grumpy man. He didn’t believe in having fan. The princesses loved dancing very much, but the king forbade them dancing. They strongly disagreed. They always slept in a tall tower, and the king locked the tower’s door, so that they couldn’t sneak out. But they went out to dance all night. The king was angry and he was wondering about how they sneak out. He asked them, but they couldn’t answer. He decided that the first man to discover where his daughters went each night could marry one of them. Some challenger tried to discover where the princesses went, but they failed it. One day a magician named Ralph went to the castle. He tried it; he succeeded in discovering where the princess went. He was wise and he conjured. Finally Ralph got married to the youngest sister, Amy.
The princesses were close sisters. I have a longing for sisters, because I am a lonely child.

The main character is Dorothy. Dorothy and her dog came Oz by the cyclone. She wanted to go home, but she could not return home, because she didn’t know the way to their home. She decided to meet the wizard of Oz. He was a great wizard. She thought that he knew way to their home. She started to go to wizard of Oz’s house. She met a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion on the way. A scarecrow wanted brain. A tin man wanted heart. A lion wanted to become brave. They ask the wizard to grant their request. They went with Dorothy and her dog. Finally the scarecrow got the brain, the tin man got the heart, the lion became brave, and Dorothy went home with her dog. I thought that this story was strange, but it is interesting.

The end of Golden Week

I went out with my mother in the afternoon. We went to shimamura. Shimamura sell some cheap fashion goods. I bought a bag. I wanted black one, but it was a sellout. So I bought white one. It was cheap. Then we went to my grandmother’s house. Today is Children’s Day and so my grandmother gave me pocket money. I was glad. However I will not get it next year, because I will be twenty years old! I don’t want to be an adult…

I went out with my father at four. It was practice of driving. I practiced back the car again in a car parking. After that, we drove to my father’s hometown. It was exciting, because my driving was dangerous… My father was amazed me. We went to my father’s friend’s house on the way. My father’s friend is naochan. My father has got along with him since he was a primary schoolchild. We made small talk. Naochan was surprised that I drove a car to his house.

I have school tomorrow. It is gloom. However I will meet my friends in five days, I am looking forward to meet them and talk with them very much.

Golden week

My Golden week started on last Saturday.

Saturday 1st
I went to part-time job at nine o’clock. My father drove me to my place of work. I learned how to use register. It was very difficult for me! I returned home at twelve thirty.
I drove the car in the afternoon for a long time. It was half a year! I took a driver’s license in the last October, but I didn’t drive the car. So it was practice. I was very nervous while I drove the car. My father sat in the seat next to the driver. He advised me to how to drive a car. I was helped by him, because I didn’t remember any traffic rules….

Sunday 2nd
I practiced driving the car again with my father. This time was practice to back the car. I am not good at it. I practiced it many times. But it did not become good. I have to practice harder...

Monday 3rd
I went to part-time job. I cleared up rubbish. I was free, because guests were few.
In the afternoon, my aunt and uncle came to my home. They gave us congratulation return. It was rice crackers and beautiful plates. My aunt said about her son and daughter in short my cousins. They became high school students in the spring. My aunt said that their school life looked like happy. I am glad to hear it.

Tuesday 4th
I went shopping with my family, but I didn’t buy anything. Since I returned my home, I watched mitokoumon. It is a historical drama. I used to watch with my grandmother when I was child.
I washed my bag. I was surprised to look the bag, because it shrank a little!
I did not practice to drive a car today, because I was very sleepy. Sleep is dangerous for driving. I will practice it tomorrow…
